Travel with Pets: SE Wyoming Edition

It can be difficult to bring along your travel companions when you are road-tripping. Luckily, Wyoming and Colorado are pet-friendly states and you can bring your pet almost everywhere that you can go!

At the moment, we are stationed in Laramie, Wyoming and we want to take you on a tour of southeastern Wyoming and where you can take your pets.

Laramie, WY

Let's start with our town, Laramie. Most everyone in Laramie has a pet and there are many shops that have a "shop dog" or a "shop cat". Before you go taking your animals into any shops, ask the employees if he/she is allowed to come it. This is just common courtesy.

Iceland in October

Let's face it...you know Iceland is going to be an epic trip no matter what time of year you get there. But what is there to do when the grass begins to turn brown and the rain turns into snow? Well we've got you covered - we went to Iceland in the middle of October and this was our experience:

When to plan your trip?

Depending on when you are able to travel or when you prefer to travel, you can visit Iceland any time of year. Yes, it is true that you won't be able to get very far or see as many attractions in the winter months - Iceland sits slightly below the arctic circle after all! But the scenery is accentuated by the snow and frost which makes it feel like you are actually in a land of ice. But to each their own - if you'd rather take a vacation during the warmer months, go ahead!

Nova Scotia: For Those Who Have Never Been

One of our best vacations to date! Nova Scotia is a beautiful province located between the Bay of Fundy and the Atlantic Ocean. The peninsula is a popular destination for tourists searching for delicious grub, spectacular ocean views, wildlife viewing - the list goes on and on!

We will be visiting Nova Scotia in 2020 as well, but for right now we will show you what we did on our first trip and how your trip can be even better than ours!
On this journey we were lucky because Nikita's family had a cottage on the Bay of Fundy. The Bay of Fundy, for those of you who don't know, has the highest tides in the world! The landscape of the coast changes right in front of your eyes which makes exploring the province even more fun.

Italy In 2 Weeks: A Packing Guide

10/10/2019

In college, I (Lyndee) had the opportunity to travel to Italy to study design and architecture. I was stoked to get the chance to see the monuments, cultures, and works of art I had been learning about in history books! The downside? We only had 2 weeks...In this article you will find out how I was able to travel around Italy during the summer with only 4 outfits in my bag.

Having A Hard Time Packing?

When packing, I found it extremely difficult, firstly to pack for a country I had never been to and, secondly to fit everything in my backpack.

Lookout Lake, Medicine Bow National Forest, 10/2015
That's right...this picture is completely unedited, this mountain range is picture perfect! The mountain range is in the Medicine Bow National Forest, but the locals call it the Snowy Range.

Looking at this picture you can understand why it is called the Snowy Range - the quartzite rock appears almost white, especially when the sun rays hit its' surface. In the winter this scenic byway is closed because of (you can probably guess) snow.

Medicine Bow Peak towers over the once glacier-filled valley at 12,014 ft. On this fine day, we took our time getting to the peak and we will take you on a guided tour along the Snowy Range Scenic Byway (Hwy 130).

If you are planning a trip, the byway is only open from around May - October depending on the weather that year. In the winter months there is plenty to do as well!

The hardest decisions we have EVER made are when we are choosing a travel destination. We do argue from time to time as Nikita would rather spend a few days at the beach while I (Lyndee) would prefer to backpack in the wilderness. We've learned to meet in the middle when deciding what's the best option for our next adventure. Our latest journey was to southwestern Colorado y'all...and it was an absolute blast!
